You may find yourself becoming the decision-maker for a parent or partner - stepping into a reversal of roles while navigating an uncertain future. This comes with emotions you didn't expect: guilt, anger, fear, even resentment. None of them mean you love any less.
Maybe caregiving isn't your story. Maybe it's a loss you're still carrying, burnout that crept up while you were busy being reliable, or an identity shifting under your feet. Grief doesn't always wait for a physical loss. We grieve people who are still with us, versions of ourselves we've outgrown, lives we thought we'd be living by now.
Naming what's shared can help you feel less alone. Honouring what's yours is how you feel understood. That's the balance I've built my practice around - evidence-based psychotherapy, attuned to your circumstances, your relationships, and your lived experience.
I’m happy you’re here.
“Caregiving can be deeply meaningful, but it can also be exhausting in ways that are hard to explain.”
You Keep Up With Everything.
The appointments, the check-ins, the needs of people you love. You're the one who's supposed to stay steady, have the answer, keep everyone else from falling apart. Telling yourself you'll catch your breath once things settle. But things don't settle. They just change shape.
You're grieving things that don't come with sympathy cards. A relationship that's changing in front of you, a future you already know won't happen, a version of yourself you can't get back. And after long enough, you start living in survival mode: reactive, exhausted, bracing for the next thing. Stuck between who you were and whoever you're supposed to be now.
It's Not Wednesday offers online therapy for adults navigating caregiving, grief, burnout, relationship challenges and the identity shifts that come with these experiences. Space to say the things you're not supposed to say - and find your way back to yourself.
AREAS WE SUPPORT
-
Caring for a loved one with dementia can be both meaningful and exhausting. Therapy for caregivers offers a private, supportive space to process emotions, reduce stress, and reconnect with your own needs. Learn how to care for yourself while caring for others.
-
A diagnosis of early-onset dementia or Alzheimer’s in your 40s, 50s, or early 60s can feel overwhelming. Therapy provides support for identity, resilience, and planning for the future with dignity. Professional support can help you navigate this stage of life with clarity and compassion.
-
Becoming a young caregiver in your 20s or 30s can feel isolating and overwhelming. Therapy provides space to acknowledge the emotional impact of caregiving while supporting your own growth, identity, and future.
-
Grief can follow death, diagnosis, role changes, or the loss of a future you expected. Grief therapy provides a steady place to process loss without pressure to “move on” or make sense of it before you’re ready.
-
Burnout often builds slowly. Through chronic stress, caregiving roles, work pressure, or emotional overload. Therapy for burnout offers space to pause, understand what’s happening in your body and mind, and begin restoring energy and clarity.
-
As relationships evolve, you may feel tension, loss, or uncertainty about where you fit. Therapy for relationship transitions creates a space to explore these changes and move forward with greater clarity and self-trust.
-
Life transitions can quietly shake your sense of self. You might feel uncertain about direction or question decisions that once felt clear. Therapy for identity and life transitions supports you in exploring your values, purpose, and next chapter with confidence and care.
01Start with a conversation
A free 15-minute video call. No forms to agonize over, nothing to prepare, no commitment. You ask questions, share as much or as little as you want, and we see if it’s a fit.
02We find your footing
In the first few sessions we make sense of what you’re carrying and what you need. Most people initially meet weekly or every two weeks over secure video, and we adjust as things settle.
03You come back to yourself
Over time, you feel less reactive and more grounded. You get clearer on what matters, and on what's actually yours to carry. It's not a return to the old you. It's arriving at a truer one, with room to breathe.

PROFESSIONAL THERAPY. HUMAN CONNECTION
Sometimes there's no clear event at all.
Just a growing sense of disconnection - from your work, your relationships, or from yourself. The life you built still functions. It just no longer fits the person you're becoming.
This work isn't about finding a quick answer. It's about creating space to understand yourself more honestly. What has shaped you, what still fits, and what no longer does. So you can begin building a life that feels like your own.
